Sea Days

You look at the itinerary, and you see three sea days in a row; you need not fear that you will waste away from boredom. If the weather cooperates you could plop yourself in a lounge chair on deck; this ship has several pools, hot tubs and a sun terrace. Waiters will bring food and beverages right to you. I sunburn looking out the window, for folks like me, there are plenty of both indoor and outdoor shady spots.

The ship version of Chopped

The daily schedule features lectures, trivia contests, bridge and Mah jong, and a variety of other entertainments. There are galley tours, wine tastings and contests of various sorts (corn hole anyone?) The ship version of Chopped featured three of the chefs creating a dish out of a basket of ingredients- played for fun and plenty of laughs.

Trivia is a popular activity on sea days.

And of course there is eating.

And drinking, both alcoholic and otherwise. Love the magic orange juice machine and the cappucinos they make at Seabourn Square. I hear there is a gym, but I have not independently verified that.

The most competitive activity on the ship is laundry, as the 400 passengers compete for the use of 4 sets of washers and dryers. Success requires strategy and cunning.

Stay tuned my friends. Land is in sight…
